• Develop lighting design goals and objectives through meetings with the architect, owner, interior designer, and any other project key players.
• Assist in developing project lighting budgets and provide value engineering when necessary.
• Establish preliminary/schematic electrical and lighting design documents
• Assist in developing decorative light fixture packages or custom luminaire design
• Develop lighting control system strategies, provide the specification and complete programming of the system
• Provide CAD bid set and/or construction set documents complete with detailed plans, specification booklet, lighting fixture schedule, and specific bidding instructions
• Provide construction administration from the rough-in phase through trim phases, including ensuring proper cross-discipline coordination
• Focus and aim fixtures, employ glare control or filters as needed to ensure original design intention
• Draft "as-built" drawings representing exact site conditions, lamp inventories, and maintenance schedules
• Conduct lighting audits to develop retrofit plans complete with life-cycle cost analysis, simple payback, ROI, and implementation plan
• Provide lighting calculations for interior or exterior spaces with lighting software
• Consult on an hourly basis for lighting or electrical system design
